Kaylin Horgan just moved to Chicago in August, but started her dancer life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There, she had great teachers, starting with… Tammy Snyder, the faculty at CAPA High School and Point Park University; in which she is a graduate. When she was 14, she became the youngest founding member of the Pearlann Porter’s Pillow Project, and in 2010, she became a founding member and artistic assistant of the August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble, directed by Greer Reed. Last year she began her first season with Wylliams Henry Contemporary Dance Company in Kansas City, MO, and also became a member of Raelle Myrick-Hodges’s Elephant Room. Kaylin has also been an employee at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind in Pittsburgh for the last 10 years, and she ultimately hopes to one day create dance programs for children with special needs and inside of correctional facilities. This is her third season dancing with Wylliams/ Henry.
