Drew Shuler, a native of Ft. Lauderdale, FL began his dance studies at Dillard Center for The Arts at the age of 13 and then continued to receive his B.F.A. in dance performance from The University of South Florida. Upon graduation he relocated to New York City where he attended The Ailey School, as an Alvin Ailey Scholar, and was privileged to perform the works of Troy Powell, Hans Van Manen, Nacho Duato, Jacqulyn Buglisi and Ronald K. Brown. Drew attended Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Contemporary Traditions Program, in 2006 as a full-scholarship recipient performing works by Robert Battle, Ohad Naharin and Elisa Monte. He has since worked with Deeply Rooted Dance Theater in Chicago and also Buglisi Dance Theater in NYC. Drew is blessed and honored to perform his seventh season with WHDT.
