Vanessa Owen is originally from Amity, Pennsylvania where she began her training at Dance Extensions Performing Arts Center. She recently graduated from Wright State University with a BFA in Dance, and now lives and works with her family in Asheville, NC. Vanessa has had the opportunity to perform works by choreographers such as Adam Hougland, Kiesha LaLama White, William B. McCllellan, Justin Gibbs, Gina Gardner-Walther, Teressa McWilliams, and Susanne Payne. Other performance credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Leonard Bernstein’s Mass, The International Contortion Convention, and a PowerAde Commercial for MTV. This is Vanessa’s 1st season with WHCDC and she is very thankful and excited for this opportunity.
