Mr. Edward Franklin is a native of Detroit, Michigan. Edward began his dance training under the watchful eyes of Cindy Herman and Gary Harrison of Atlanta, Ga. For the past twenty years Mr. Franklin has worked extensively throughout the United States and Europe as a performer and instructor. Mr. Franklin, who is affectionately known as “E”, has performed with companies such as but not limited to The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, PhilaDanco Dance Company, Ronald K. Brown / Evidence Dance Company, Deeply Rooted Productions , Oakland Ballet, Wylliams / Henry Danse Theater, Manga African Dance Company, and the Harrison Dance Company; just to name a few! Edward has also had the privilege to work with many well known Choreographers/Directors such as Judith Jamison, George Faison, Diane McIntyre, Louis Johnson, Hope Clarke, Debbie Allen, Joeffry Holder, Carmen Delavellade, Milton Myers, Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, and Gary Harrison; and the list continues! Mr. Franklin takes great pride in sharing his knowledge and passion for the Arts. Paying homage to the Artists/Dancers who came before him, Edward strives to enrich the lives of others through his creativity and devotion to dance.
